The IEM KVARZ personnel
is a collective of highly qualified specialists. Today the Institute has a
staff of about
900 people, including
9 Doctors and 37 Candidates of Science.
Eight employees have honorary titles of Full Members and Corresponding
Members of Branch Academy of Science.
The Institute has a post-graduate course on the theme “Radiomeasurement
equipment”, an actively functioning dissertation council for defence of
Candidate and Doctor dissertations. The most important scientific and
technical
problems of IEM KVARZ are considered
at scientific and
technical
council of the Institute.
There are also functioning branch offices of the Nizhny Novgorod State
Technical University: “Computer
technologies in development and production” and “Measurement technology”.
English training courses are arranged in accordance with qualifying
examinations for the Candidate degree. Leading specialists of the Institute
take
part in the
courses, students aquire
habits of operating modern technological equipment. The scientists carry out
much work to intake young specialists for
scientific activities within the Institute, they give lectures
at the Nizhny Novgorod State
Technical University and Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I.
Lobachevsky.
In accordance with the personnel program agreed,
the Institute holds measures for renewal, re-training and improval of
professional skill of the personnel.

Every year 30-40 young
specialists – university and college graduating students - join
our Institute.
IEM KVARZ specialists take regular part at various scientific and technical
conferences, seminars and symposia.
The Institute arranges competitions for scientific work
of the young specialists, such
scientific work being annually presented at the regional competition of the
young people creative work, where they are awarded prizes in “Electronics”
and “Instrument-Making Industry” nominations.
IEM KVARZ has close collaboration with higher educational
institutions of the city, which train specialists according to our Institute
profile.
Annually 3,- 4- and 5-year
students do
introductory and technical practical work at our Institute, and senior
students do pre-diploma practical work and degree work theses. On a
contractual basis the Institute specialists and scientists are drawn in as
the students’ practical and diploma work supervisors. |
